Harambee Stars have climbed up two slots in the latest FIFA Rankings from position 104 to 102.
This follows impressive results in AFCON qualification against Togo and Egypt where they managed to beat Togo away drawing with Egypt at home.
Kenya is the second highest ranked team in the East African region with Uganda leading the way at position 84.
Sudan, one of the two CECAFA gteams to have qualified for AFCON 2021 follows in position 123 Rwanda at 129 and Tanzania at 137.
Ethiopia, the other CECAFA nation at AFCON is at position 140 followed by Burundi at 142.
Kenya’s highest ever ranking was 68 back in 2008 comming from their lowest ever position of 137 in 2007.
Harambee Stars get back to international action in June hosting Uganda then playing away to Rwanda in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.
