AFC Leopards’defender Tedian Esilaba is out for the season after having surgery on his right knee.
Esilaba who was signed in February by AFC Leopards was injured in just his second match for the club when they faced Kakamega Homeboyz in Kakamega.
Esilaba had commanded a starting role in the side immediately after his signing managing to bench club captain Robinson Kamura with the coach puting faith in his abilities.
Prior to his signing, Leopards’ head coach Patrick Aussems had llamented on the defensive mistakes by his side with the team conceding several goals due to defensive mistakes.
Tedian is expected to return next season in what will be a huge loss for the side who have been banned by FIFA from sgning new players till 2022.
Captain Kamura has also been out due to a Rec Card against City Stars but is expected to return soon with Munene holding down the fort in the absence of the two defenders.
