Abdallah Hassan: Togo test is good preparation for World Cup Qualifiers

Harambee Stars and Bandari forward Abdallah Hassan has stated that their match against Togo will be a good way to prepare for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers set to begin this year.

Hassan, who scored Kenya’s only goal in the draw against Egypt also noted that their previous match vs Egypt has worked to boost the confidence of the playing unit ahead of the match today.

Even if we are going to finish 3rd, we are still building the team to get the confidence ahead of the World Cup qualifiers

Abdallah Hassan

Both Kenya and Togo have already been eliminated from AFCON qualification but either side will still be going for a win to save face and avoid finishing bottom.

Kenya has been pooled with Mali, Uganda and Rwanda in their World Cup Qualification group.

Right back Daniel Sakari was also upbeat going into to the match noting he wants to perform at his best after a good showing in the match against Egypt. Sakari will be looking to cement the right back position that has not had a strong tenant since David ‘Calabar’ Owino.

As players we should take the Togo game serious because for me I also want to use it as a stepping stone
